RULES
The initial ranking is decided by club coaches
- Matches will be best of 3 sets (3rd set to be played as 10 point tie-break)
- Matches to be played at a time suitable to both players but not during club sessions. Any floodlight fees to be shared (£6.00 per hour)
- Challenges may be made to players up to 5 positions above. If the challenger beats his/her opponent, they take their position, and the defeated player and any others between them and the original challenger move down one place.
A ‘return’ match is not to be played until at least one other match has been completed. - Members are not required to accept more than one challenge per week. Otherwise, however, challenges must be accepted from other members, or accept a loss by default. Pre-arranged matches must be completed before any other match is played.
- If playing a match arranged prior to the completion of an existing challenge check the ladder to ensure that the match to be played is still within the ‘5 position’ ruling
- Once a challenge has been accepted, the match is to be played within 10 days.
- Please advise the club office of any reasons why you may have to suspend play (injury, holidays etc) so that the ladder may be noted and challenges not made.
- The ladder on the notice board is to be updated at the earliest opportunity-please leave a message at the office if the clubhouse is closed.
- Please notify the office if you wish to withdraw from the ladder
- Late entries to the ladder are accepted and will be inserted at a suitable position by the club coaches.
Please look to accept and issue challenges on a 50/50 basis
